This is the Moulin Rouge. J and I rented studio in Paris for the week down the block from it, and the apartment looks like this.

The kitchen is well stocked, and we have used it to cut cheese, bread, litchee, and open wine bottles.

This sofa is my bed for the week (no worries - it's a sofa bed!). Other amenities include a dinette set, free internet, free calls to the US, 500+ tv channels, and a clean bathroom with pink toilet paper.

I Need New Glasses.

On a whim, I went to the optician this weekend. The degradation of my eyesight is extremely work related, and I was down 25 vision points in each eye since my last checkup in August 2006 (whatever these vision points mean). Staring at the computer screen 10+ hours a day really does not help.

Since I've been driving to work, I rely on my glasses to enhance my night vision, thus preventing unnecessary deaths of deer, bumpers, street signs, and people. I balked at the $300 Juicy frames at the store (blame it on the economy, I guess!), despite the pretty saleslady with the fashionable glasses. I really want ultra funky eye-wear, but I chuckle at my '70s look each time I try a pair on. So, I've been trying on glasses online at Opticals4less, for as low as $15!

Slumdog Millionaire - Trailer

I saw this movie this past Sunday at Ritz East in Philly. I thought the story was heart warming, and I sincerely enjoyed the seamless weave of the plot with flashbacks.

Pieces of Crap

Hi there! These are what I call my pieces of crap, because I don't know what I will do with them! Ceramics is a super fun class, and I come out with so many goodies. These pieces of crap remind me of pieces of flair from Office Space.

Anyway, I love them dearly, but I will try to sell them at the Italian Market this weekend (if it's not too cold!). Please let me know if you are interested in any of these pieces. I don't think I can sell Dimples, and I intend to sell dizzy bowl (green with swirls) at a high price, for memory's sake. Very nice!
